I shot an event with low light recently. I used the shiftcam ProGrip with my iphone 14 Pro Max. It gives you illusion of taking pics with a DSLR when holding it. No one thought a thing about me using a phone for a camera! It was nice to stabilizing while shooting video on the move.
The art of photography lies in the hands of the photographer - using mobile to achieve that is a different level and using shiftcam to work towards that makes it a joy and fulfilling as you don’t miss DSLR after using Shiftcam and accessories! For the busy life we have - Shiftcam is the answer!

I work as a “personal device trainer” for a well-known tech company, someone who helps people go further with their technology, and a large part of my focus is mobile phone photography. I’ve also been a portrait photographer for over 15 years.
My wife and I recently returned from a two-week trip to California, where I took the opportunity to put my personal photo skills to the test… we really hadn’t traveled since the beginning of COVID-19. On our last trip, we both had older phones and included a DSLR in the mix. This time, I wanted to use my newest phone specifically, with the DSLR being used for only a very specific purpose.
I ordered the ProGrip, after having worked with a ShiftCam lens case for a couple of years. I was very happy with the tech, and was able to push my skills even further. So my thought was: How much further can I take my skills with the ProGrip?
Long story short: VERY far!
Since our trip was a drive up and down the coast of California, I knew I’d be getting a lot of landscape shots. I also knew I’d need to get closer to some of my subjects, even though I’d be either on a cliffside or the shore of a beach. So here are the tools I had: ProGrip, Manfrotto tripod, ShiftCam trim-lens case, and an Apple Watch as a remote trigger.
I love to use Pano mode on my phone, particularly in a way that most people don’t think to use: vertically. With the ProGrip, it was super-easy to quickly switch between portrait and landscape mode. And the tripod mount made it easy as well, when we wanted to get ourselves in the pic.
Without going into too much detail, we wound up shelving the DSLR after some pretty unspectacular pic comparisons, and I used the ProGrip and my phone solely for the remainder of our vacation. The ProGrip was going from morning until night, some days having been going so long I had to take advantage of the battery pack for both MY phone and my wife’s!
As someone who teaches and shares out iPhone photography tips and best practices, I HIGHLY recommend the ShiftCam Pro Grip. Will it completely replace a mirrorless or DSLR camera? If you’re a pro photographer, no. Will it enhance your opportunity as a pro photographer to have a ready-to-go camera in your gig bag? ABSOLUTELY!
For the average user…? It’ll make you feel like a pro, particularly when you see the final product.
